Living Learning Experiences
Coming this November .......
The next Living Learning Experience, run by the Association of Therapeutic Communities in conjunction with Exclusion Link CIC, will take place on 16th - 18th November 2010 at Bore Place, Kent.
Set in the idyllic surroundings of an organic farm in the depths of the Kent countryside, this workshop, which has been running continuously for 15 years, has been an essential part of the training and experience of generations of TC workers across the UK and farther afield. This year for the first time it will include explicit training in the theory and praxis of TC working.
This Living Learning Experience provides a unique opportunity to live as a member of a temporary TC for three days. It provides TC staff, both clinical and non-clinical, with an insight into the pressures and processes of TC life from the ‘other side’. Community meetings, small groups, activity groups, community time, cooking, eating and having fun together provide the essential framework for the Living Learning Experience.
