Who are we: Philosophy and Recovery
Exclusion Link (in partnership with The Thames Valley Initiative) provides a range of training opportunities to suit the needs of all staff who come into contact with people who may be diagnosable with a Personality Disorder.
Exclusion Link CIC is affiliated to the National PD Development Network
Training is designed and delivered by experienced trainers and ex-service users (STARS) from the Thames Valley Complex Needs Services. We know from evaluations that the involvement of STARS has a significant impact on the attitude of staff towards people diagnosed with Personality Disorder.
What we can provide
We run three established courses and numerous other bespoke courses. The three established courses are
'Personality: People and Pathology'
'Living Learning Experience'
'Working with Challenging Behaviour' - a course for administartive staff
We can offer a range of training opportunities ranging from, for example, an hour within your team meeting or several days in a venue of your choice. We have designed sessions / modules within established trainings and continuing professional development programmes. These have included working with nurses, GPs, psychologists, administrative staff and staff members of the voluntary sector. We run a very successful multi disciplinary year long course, from January to October,
“Flexibility of trainers - able to answer questions as they arose"
“Understanding more what is behind some of the challenging behaviour we have to deal with.”

Please contact us with your specific requirements – we can build our training around you!
